First thing you notice, Berliners love graffiti. They're everywhere. And they're big. This one is in Kreutzberg.
While exploring Kreutzberg, I found this wonderful little bookstore. They had a nice copy of Il mio mondo è qui, the Italian edition of Dorothy Parker's Here Lies translated by Eugenio Montale in 1941. But I thought that 59 euros was a little too much for it.
More graffiti at the East Side Gallery, "the largest open air gallery in the world". A 1.3km-long section of the Wall is covered in graffiti, as a "memorial for freedom".
And then back to the gallery to start installing the show. Here's the artist, or at least part of him, assessing the space.
